  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 can (794 grams) of crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon of dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 25 grams of grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. Cook the fettuccine according to the package instructions. Drain and set it aside.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the minced beef and cook it until it's browned, breaking it up into small pieces with a wooden spoon.
  3. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion becomes translucent, which takes about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the crushed tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir the ingredients together and bring the sauce to a simmer. Reduce the heat to medium-low and let the sauce simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Once the sauce is done, toss it with the cooked fettuccine in a large bowl.
  6. Serve the fettuccine topped with 1 teaspoon of grated Parmesan cheese per serving.
